Advertising watchdogs have censured Devon County Council for misleading the public.
The council claimed in a series of ads earlier this year that it was "England's greenest county". But the Advertising Standards Agency has ruled that the council had little to back this claim up and that the ads breached several of its codes including violations regarding "truthfulness" and "substantiation".See the full content of this document
