Waste Transfer Centre Could Create 45 Jobs

Summary

THE building of a Pounds 4m waste transfer centre in Exeter could lead to the creation of up to 45 jobs. As the Echo has reported, Exeter City Council has said it will not object to the plans which concern the old Peugeot site on the corner of Exton Road and Marsh Barton Road, within the Marsh Barton Industrial Estate. Final approval is with Devon County Council but, if given the go-ahead, the site will be used by Devon Contract Waste for the sorting, recycling and distribution of waste.

When operational, it is expected to take between 30 to 50 deliveries a day to the site between Monday to Friday and from 10 to 20 deliveries on Saturdays and Sundays.
