DEVON winemakers are hoping for their best year yet after the warm spring weather brought forward the growing season by up to three weeks.
The recent sunshine has caused grape buds to emerge early with little frost damage. This will allow winemakers to harvest the grapes earlier - avoiding weather damage in the autumn - or leave them to mature on the vine for longer, creating better quality wine.See the full content of this document
