A CHARITY walking treasure hunt around Ottery St Mary has a 2pm start from the town's Canaan Way car park on Sunday, September 4. The treasure hunt, which is estimated to take two to three hours, finishes at The Lamb & Flag.
At the end there will also be a fun quiz and raffle to take part in. The route is push-chair friendly, although a few answers are up a short flight of steps. Map reading and local knowledge are not necessary. Carol Rowe, organiser of the event, said: "This is the tenth treasure hunt in support of Cancer Research UK's breast cancer initiative Join the Fight and it is set to be brilliant fun. What better way to spend a relaxing few hours exploring the local area and looking for clues, having fun and ending up relaxing in a great pub. We are hoping to raise lots of money for Breast Cancer Research. If anyone would like to join us, give me a call on 01395 226905 or email carol@ex8.co.uk as soon as you can. Please wear something pink, even the boys, or risk being fined!" In Devon, 1,055 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, but survival rates have increased dramatically over the last 10 years.See the full content of this document
