CONTROVERSIAL proposals to make one of Exeter's busiest shopping streets one way are being considered by traders. Businesses in Magdalen Road, St Leonard's, have been left divided over improvement plans which could see the street made one way eastbound from Denmark Road to St Leonard's Road. Many of the traders feel the scheme could lose them customers while others have welcomed the plans.

And local councillors for the area have expressed concerns over an increase in traffic for residents living in roads which may be affected by the scheme.
