Summary
DEVON MP Richard Younger-Ross has been asked to apologise to the House of Commons and pay Pounds 4,000 to the taxpayer after breaching commons rules over a payment he accepted relating to his second home. The Lib Dem member for Teignbridge was given Pounds 8,03 by the new landlord of a luxury flat he rented in Dolphin House, Westminster, so the tenancy contract could be ripped up and a new one agreed.
After the payment was made the rent -- which was claimed back by Mr Younger-Ross from the taxpayer under his second homes allowance - - rose from Pounds 12,870 a year in 2001-02 to Pounds 19,140 for 2009-10.See the full content of this document
