TEENAGER Ruairi Corr is in line to be crowned Britain's Young Deafblind Person of the Year. The 16-year-old has been shortlisted for the national award by the deafblind charity Sense He will find out if he has won at a ceremony at London's Sadler's Wells Theatre to be hosted by director, choreographer and TV personality Arlene Phillips in October.
Ruairi became deafblind at six following a bone marrow transplant for the rare genetic illness adrenoleukodystophy - the condition made famous in the film Lorenzo's Oil.See the full content of this document
