Summary


Questioned at the Labour Party Conference on the problems of housing in the South West of England, Exeter MP and Government Minister Ben Bradshaw gave a typical politician's reply.

He said that the Government had increased council tax on second homes from 50 per cent to 90 per cent, in order for local councils to be able to use the extra revenue to build new homes for local people but these councils had misused all this extra money and not built the homes.
