A ROW has broken out over more than Pounds 70,000 which a council leader claims had been lost to health services because of a planning bungle.
Alan Connett, leader of Teignbridge District Council, blames Devon Primary Care Trust, also known as NHS Devon, for not taking swift enough action to secure a sum of Pounds 93,000 which NHS consultants said would be needed to extend GP services to cover a new 300-home development in Exminster, near Exeter. Many residents opposed the development, and Cllr Connett, who represents the village on Devon County Council, said they would now lose out again, as a payment of just Pounds 22,000 is made by developers.See the full content of this document
