THERE were nearly 300 people at Seaton Town Hall on Tuesday Tesco gains green light for new shop to regenerate town, Echo, September 17. Only 200 were allowed into the planning committee meeting. I was one of the many left outside.

The Westcountry TV report showed why we couldn't get in as the East Devon District Council's planning committee had a quadrangle of tables occupying the centre of the hall and the stage was not used.
