RESIDENTS have expressed relief following the reopening of a road which had been shut for months. Old Rydon Lane was shut in January while improvement work was carried out to link it to a nearby development.

It was due to reopen in March but despite the work being complete, a mix-up over paperwork led to the extended delay.
