THE community event in the Heavitree Pleasure Ground in Exeter on Bank Holiday Monday was enjoyed, on my reckoning, by about 500 adults and children. Once again we are all grateful to Barbara Farrell and the support she had from Exeter City Council.
I was puzzled, however, to see the picture, Echo, September 1, of two of the youngsters dressed up in waterproofs and paddling around in rainwater. What rainwater? We had a lovely warm, sunny and dry afternoon. True we haven't had many this summer but don't take away what we have had to enjoy.See the full content of this document
