Public Getting More Incensed by Judges ; Letters

Summary

SO, there are some people who condemn Munir Hussain for pursuing Walid Salem and bashing him with a cricket bat after he had raided the businessman''s home and threatened his family with all sorts of dire consequences if they did not submit. Salem who was intent on robbing the Hussains of cash and all the material things they had garnered over many years of hard work was "hit for six" by Mr Hussain, receiving brain damage. So what? If you raid another person's home with evil intent you must surely put up with the consequences? Obviously, the judge thought Mr Hussain had acted unreasonably in defence of family and property and sentenced him to a prison term Happily, he was later released after a public outcry, but still retains a criminal conviction. How sad is that? Salem hardly gets a slap on the wrist, while the law-abiding tax payer Mr Hussain gets sent to prison. Unbelievable. Had Salem died from his injuries it would al have been self inflicted. No one urged him to raid the Hussain's.

No wonder some people are prepared to take the law into their own hands when the justice system lets them down badly year after year. But, of course, no one wants vigilante justice. But a fed-up public will get more and more incensed as judges bend over backwards to assist the law breaker while clobbering the honest citizen for losing his temper with those with robbery in mid.
