ALISON Hopper Bishop, head of conservation at the RAMM, can barely contain her delight. "I am tremendously excited about the reopening," she says. "We all just desperately want to be open. It's a terrific thing for Exeter."
Although she has been at the museum for 20 years, her work on the new project actually began eight years ago, when she was involved with the Ark - the new off-site storage building for the museum which enabled the main development work to take place.
