You've got to hand it to Malcolm Middleton. Anyone who has the guts to release a Christmas single entitled We're All Going To Die, as Malcolm did last December is surely entitled, after all, to a fair degree of respect.
Sadly, the former Arab Strap musician's unusual festive release didn't make it to the top spot - that honour, as you may well have forgotten already, went to X Factor-winner Leona Lewis. But despite bookies initially placing 1,000-1 odds against him reaching the top spot, the multi-instrumentalist in fact did much better than expected, helped by a campaign from Radio 1 DJs Scott Mills, Colin Murray and Edith Bowman as well as a number of social networking sites.See the full content of this document
