Craig Burton, 28, of Manning Avenue, Cullompton, drove on the M5 near Exeter on December 1, 2011, when the proportion of alcohol in his breath was 90mcg in 100ml, exceeding the prescribed limit of 35mcg in 100ml. He pleaded guilty and was fined Pounds 500, must pay a victim surcharge of Pounds 15 and costs of Pounds 85. He was also banned from driving for 22 months which can be reduced by 22 weeks if he completes a driving course. David Corby, 41, of Godfreys Gardens, Bow, was found to be in possession of 1.97g of herbal cannabis, a class B drug, in Crediton on December 5, 2011. The offence was committed while he was subject to a conditional discharge imposed on March 29, 2011, for a similar offence. He was fined Pounds 67, must pay a victim surcharge of Pounds 15 and the drugs will be forfeited. There was no order for costs due to his limited means and no action will be taken on the breach of the conditional discharge. Keier Edwardes, 20, of Wordland Cross, Cheriton Fitzpaine, resisted a constable in the execution of his duty on November 1, 2011, in Crediton. He admitted this offence as well as driving a van without insurance and without a registration plate fixed to the front on November 29, 2011, in Crediton. He received a six-month conditional discharge for resisting a constable and was fined Pounds 100 with a Pounds 15 victim surcharge for the motoring offences.
