A HOMELESS man who told a police officer he would murder him has been told by a court to stay out of trouble.

James Betts, 36, came to police attention after being abusive to shoppers in Marks & Spencer in High Street, Exeter, on Friday, November 5. Officers were called to the store at 2pm, after receiving reports that Betts was asking for money.
