Historic Railway Recreated in Miniature

Summary

THE former Uffculme to Hemyock railway will be among the historic networks recreated in miniature at an exhibition. A total of 11 model railways, including a 1950 Hornby Dublo three-rail set which can fetch as much as Pounds 1,000, will be displayed at the first event of its kind in the area at Willand village hall from 10am- 4.30pm on Saturday. Most of the reconstructions will be laid-out by the Culm Valley Model Railway Club's exhibition manager, teenager David Fosberry.

The 17-year-old has been carrying the painstaking recreation work for the event which will feature local collectors and Westcountry exhibitors from Yeovil, Okehampton, Burnham-on-Sea and Shepton Mallet.
