RETURNING officers in East Devon have been reflecting on a "successful" election saying polling booths were unaffected by the problems reported in other parts of the country. The Conservatives triumphed in both the East Devon and Tiverton and Honiton constituencies with Hugo Swire and Neil Parish winning the polls respectively.
Voting was up five per cent from the last general election in East Devon with 53, 322 people voting out of a possible 73,109. And 54, 894 electors turned up in Tiverton making a 71.5 per cent turnout.See the full content of this document
