THOUSANDS of smokers across the South West kicked the habit in 2009 with the help of the NHS stop smoking service according to a new survey.
Over 11,500 people quit smoking in the region, with 1,869 in Devon, after seeking the support of the local NHS Stop Smoking service, according to the South West Strategic Health Authority. A further 49 per cent of smokers in the South West are said to have pledged to quit this year.See the full content of this document
