Openers Harrison Folland -- the son of former Devon captain Nick - - and Roger Wensley gave Exmouth a 42-run start, which Dale Mills and Folland senior built on.
Folland junior finished with 70, having shared in a partnership of 53 with Mills (29) along the way.
