Summary
During the day, the chickens at Random Poultry in Farringdon, near Exeter, are free to roam about and scratch around on the grass to their hearts' content. Then, at night, they return to their sheds to roost and lay eggs early in the morning.
At the moment, the 20-acre free-range chicken farm has 5,000 birds on site, but can have as many as 7,000, which are looked after by chicken expert Tony Beardshall, who has 10 years' experience in the business.See the full content of this document
