One hundred years ago this weekend Exeter City's first team lost 5-0 at home. And, with a crowd of just 2,000 in attendance, it must have been a pretty depressing experience. The opposition - Plymouth Argyle Reserves. Ouch.

The return fixture in Plymouth was on February 29, where a mercifully low crowd of 500 saw the Gargoyle second XI beat City 8- 1. Ahh, those weren't the days.
