HELP! Can someone tell me why I am looked upon as someone from another planet because I don't support and follow any particular football team? Surely it was not written in the Magna Carta that every British man and woman must be a footie follower.

But by the comments I have had over the years you might think that it was illegal not to have a soccer club allegiance. By the antics of some fans at football matches, the so-called beautiful game has become anything but beautiful as warring tribes of supporters inflict damage on each other -- either physically or with obscene verbal abuse.
