WHEN Fiat launched its popular retro 500 some 18 months ago, one thing was missing - the famous fold-down fabric roof that was an essential element of the 1957 original's classic appearance, writes Chris Adamson. Now, Fiat has corrected that omission with the launch this month of the cute 500C, where the C stands for convertible - although convertible might be stretching the description, as it's more of an elongated panoramic sunroof.
Unlike the original, today's 500C features an electrically operated fabric top (available in three colours) that retracts along the centre section of the roof panel and down the back behind the C pillar where it nestles un-covered on what is effectively the rear parcel shelf.See the full content of this document
