AFTER attending a council meeting in Sidmouth last week regarding the Local Development Framework Plan I feel I must write to highlight to the people of Pinhoe and Exeter that around 950 homes are proposed on the land between Westclyst and Pinhoe, taking up all the green space between these two areas.

There is also a proposal for development at Blackhorse of around 2,000 homes, and that is without the new development at Cranbrook. All in all there is a possibility of around 9,500 homes being built in a five-mile radius. Does that seems fair to you? We in Westclyst do not feel this is fair or just - we have around 100 homes in this area and East Devon District Council is proposing to increase this by 450 per cent on the first development at Old Park Farm, along with commercial properties and a park and change site. On the other side of the road at Pinn Court Farm they are proposing to build 500 homes, a nursing home, commercial properties and a park and change site too.
