A FULL emergency was declared at Exeter Airport yesterday after a plane reported engine difficulties.

The incident happened at around 12.25pm as the aircraft made its approach to the airport. Emergency services, including an onsite fire engine, were called to the runway after the DA42 light aircraft reported a problem with its engine.
