Regarding the letter Outraged by death of beautiful birds, Points of view, June 13, I heard from a colleague that two ducks had been knocked down by a car - or cars - near Exe Bridges and it is likely that these were the same ducks.

It would seem they were victims of an unfortunate accident rather than cruelty.
