I agree a proper central theatre/concert hall is badly needed in Exeter, Point of view, May 11, and the city council shows no interest. Celia Tate, Points of view, May 5, has the right idea, suggesting a millionaire to back such an undertaking.

But I do think Debenhams' old building preferable to the telephone exchange. Debenhams is actually on the main road next to bus stops, a taxi rank and right opposite the bus station.
