STUDENT Daniel Chalk has used artificial intelligence to help him understand the behaviour of bumble bees. The University of Exeter PhD student has developed a computer model to understand the potential for bees to cross-pollinate between genetically modified and non-GM crops.
The study sheds new light on the foraging behaviour of bumble bees over a large area and suggests the potential for bees to affect crops through cross-pollination is very limited.See the full content of this document
