TWO goals from Steve Alford helped Culm United get their season off to a great start as they beat Exeter Civil Service 5-1. Culm will have to play their home games at Kentisbeare while Magelake undergoes ground improvement, and they made the most of their neighbours' hospitality. Paul Harris, Danny Brewer and Paul Orchard got the other United goals.
