Regarding the article Changes to city street drive dustbin lorries up onto the new pavement, Echo, February 9, regarding the service road narrowing issue at the old Royal Naval Stores Depot site junction, I made the point that it is not wide enough for a car and an HGV, particularly a dustbin lorry, to pass.
In an irrelevant response, a county council spokesman said that it was wide enough for two private cars to pass. Yes, we all know that. My point is that it is not wide enough for a car and a dustbin lorry to pass - as verified in the same article by Mike Trim, the city council's head of cleansing.See the full content of this document
