East Devon councillors are putting forward a new site for a second new town in the Exeter area - in neighbouring Mid Devon.

They say land around Junction 27 of the M5 at Sampford Peverell, near Tiverton, is better suited for a proposed 6,000-home community than land off the B3181 road between Pinhoe, Exeter, and Cullompton.
