AN Exeter soldier has taken part in an exercise in Germany under the watchful eye of celebrity chef Simon Rimmer to prepare for her upcoming mission to Afghanistan. As part of Exercise Rhino, Army chef Private Lauren Walker, 20, took part in a scenario in which she had to help prepare a buffet meal for 20 Afghan villagers using nothing more than a hole in the ground, an old metal cupboard and a few planks of wood.
