CITY library assistant Kate Walker, 24, has found a new career in the charity sector thanks to her success in a nationwide competition. She was chosen from over 1,100 applicants for one of 500 places on the Vodafone Foundation's World of Difference UK programme, launched last year, which offers people the chance to undertake a two-month paid placement with a UK charity of their choice.
Kate, from Whimple, was working as a library assistant in Exeter before starting her stint with YouthNet in London. Since then she has gone on to complete an internship with the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust and is now working fulltime for Dogs Trust.See the full content of this document
