THIEVES have stolen an historic lead artefact worth tens of thousands of pounds in a night raid on a city park.
The 300-year-old cistern, one of a pair which were being used as decorative planters, was taken from Rougemont Gardens, in Castle Street, Exeter. Police believe thieves broke into the park and loaded the six foot long object into a van before fleeing the scene.See the full content of this document
