Summary
AYEAR is a long time in the property market and having enjoyed some long overdue early autumn sunshine, we have had an opportunity to reflect on the reversible fortune of the region's property market over the past year. Who could have predicted a year ago that things would recover quite so quickly? Officially we are still in recession and despite continuing clouds over the economy, there are some rays of sunshine for the region's homeowners. Has anyone noticed we appear to have turned from a buyer's market to that favouring the seller? Buyers are plentiful but have limited choice; agents are frustrated at having little to sell. Let's face it, nothing has really changed, recession or no recession.
We have always generally been in the position of more buyers than property available in this area. Any seller who complains about a fall in value should look back a dozen or so years and will note that their home's value has almost trebled!See the full content of this document
