MOST of the 4,000 participants in the Royal Marines Commando Challenge were in team shirts or fancy dress, but after completing the event they all looked the same - covered from head to toe in mud and smiling from ear to ear.

A total of 210 teams took part in the 4km fun challenge on Saturday morning, while 612 teams did the 10km Marine challenge on Saturday afternoon or yesterday.
