The city's Ladysmith Junior School has been praised by inspectors after it was heavily criticised just over a year ago.
Inspectors from Ofsted - the Office for Standards in Education - say the school is now providing a satisfactory education and improving rapidly just 14 months after a team criticised pupils' achievements and the quality of teaching.
