NICK Clegg is facing a grassroots backlash with Devon Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidates joining calls for him to oppose the proposed rise in tuition fees.
Graham Oakes, for Exeter, and Jon Underwood, for Tiverton and Honiton, are among more than 100 of the party's parliamentary hopefuls to warn Mr Clegg the party - which pledged before the election to vote against any rise - could face "many more years back in the political wilderness" unless MPs rejected the coalition Government's plans.See the full content of this document
