In response to the views expressed by J Noble concerning the Brian Sewell talk at Exeter Phoenix on September 23, Should this city be renamed 'Hixeter'? Points of view, September 27, I would like to point out the room concerned, the Voodoo Lounge, has been used for dozens of successful concerts and performances over the last year.
It is, and was, ventilated and the 'black curtains' used are not 'decor' but theatrical drapes deliberately used to deaden the sound and provide suitable acoustics for the event.See the full content of this document
