A DEVON band has made sure everyone is seated comfortably - by taking along chairs as well as their musical instruments to a concert. The Amycrofters Band was playing outside St Paul's Church in Honiton as part of the town council's street entertainment project after which a pensioner wrote to the Echo to say that his "Enjoyment was denied" because there were no seats available.
So, on Saturday, the Amycrofters made certain that there would be seats for at least some of their (pensioner) fans by providing their own, complete with a label saying "reserved for pensioners." Andrew Mycroft, for the band, said: " Sure enough their pensioner author turned up. The seats were also enjoyed by other pensioners who chose to sit as close as possible to the band.See the full content of this document
